Glen Ed Sports Association Announces New Volleyball Program

The Glen Ed Sports Association is excited to announce that we will be adding volleyball to our sports menu beginning this fall. Current plans call for an 8-10 week development league for both boys and girls going into grades 2-8.

The goal of the program is to teach basic and intermediate skills and rules while also preparing kids for club tryouts or middle school volleyball. The program will also help develop players for their respective high school teams as well.

There will be two practices a week and games on the weekend as gym times allow. The goal is to play an eight game season. The session will run from August through mid October. Additional camps may be arranged closer to middle school tryouts depending on the interest level.

The cost to participate this year is $90. If you have two or more children, each additional child will cost $80. Please register as soon as possible, anyone registering after August 1 will not be guaranteed a roster spot.

The program is being run by Doug and Brenda Saye. They each have extensive coaching and playing backgrounds and are excited to begin this program for the younger age groups.

The success of the program depends on the number of participants so spread the word. If you are interested in coaching, there will be openings for that as well, please email to volunteer.

For more information, to sign-up, to volunteer to coach, or to get on the email list, email Doug at glenedvolleyball@gmail.com.
